How does Autism Work?
  • Autism's is one type of five of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • It is a neurodevelopmental condition inside of the brain has many causes
  • In an autistic brain, it does not work the way that a regular human brain works
  • The reason for this is usually because, the baby inside of the mothers womb's umbilical cord gets rapped around the baby's neck and deprives the baby's brain of oxygen.
  • Brains in autistic children are usually bigger, and has all the same parts of a normal brain
  • But, the normal parts of the brain they have, do not work the way they do in a normal human brain.
  • There is an area on the brain, which allows you to see faces clearly, which autistic kids and people lack. But, they can see shapes.
  • Because they can see shapes, autistic kids like to play, and organize their toys.
  • Also, they lack self control, which is why autistic kids may act out and scream when you touch them, or their things.
  • Many of these normal parts of an autistic brain have little to no activity, which is why it is hard for them to speak, and say full sentences.

In a normal brain, there is red and blue activity going on(red and blue activity is explained above).
In an autistic brain, there is not really any activiy, and only a a little to not blue activity on just one side of the brain.
